Configuration of Netscape Mail 4.0

  1. Start Netscape Communicator and pull down the Edit menu.
  2. Move your cursor down and select Preferences.
  3. At the Preferences window click on the + sign next to Mail & Groups to open the various sections for e-mail configuration.
  4. Once open click on Identity.
  5. In the Your name window type your name as you would like it to appear when you send mail.
  6. In the E-mail address window type username@aiserve.net
  7. Click on the Mail Server category.
  8. In the Mail server user name window type your UserID.
  9. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server and Incoming mail server windows type mail.aiserve.net
  10. Under Mail Server Type select POP3.
  11. Click on OK to finish.

Configuration of Netscape Mail 4.5

  1. Start Netscape Communicator and pull down the Edit menu.
  2. Move your cursor down and select Preferences.
  3. At the Preferences window click on the + sign next to Mail & Groups to open the various sections for e-mail configuration.
  4. Once open click on Identity.
  5. In the Your name window type your name as you would like it to appear when you send mail.
  6. In the E-mail address window type username@aiserve.net
  7. Click on the Mail Server category.
  8. Click on the Add button under Incoming Mail Servers.
  9. The Server Name is: mail.aiserve.net
  10. Select POP3 Server from the Server Type window.
  11. Enter your UserID for the username.
  12. Check the Remember Password box.
  13. Click OK
  14. The Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server is: mail.aiserve.net
  15. Enter your UserID for the Outgoing Mail Server Username.
  16. Click OK to finish
